We are hosting the third annual “Youth Summit” that brings together
local county agencies, churches, businesses, and concerned citizens to address prevention, awareness, and education of drug
usage among adolescents. Our focus again this year will be to offer workshops for parents and youth, displays of drug literature
and interactive presentations.
Our target group is primarily youth ages 10 and up and their parents or guardians.
Last year we had over 400 youth in attendance.
How
you can help:
1)
Take 15 – 20 minutes once a month with your youth group to brainstorm ideas on issues that teens would like to hear
discussed by professional speakers at the Youth Summit.
2)
Create a list of topics or issues that teens would most want to hear about.
3)
Leave a section for youth to make any special comments or suggestions.
4)
